  1. Dealers asking for $5K - $30K ADM markup on 2022 F150 Lightning!

Inaccurate. The December 1st deadline only has to do with how many prioritizations a dealer received. That number of prioritizations has nothing to do with how many Lightnings Ford will give a dealer. A dealer with 100 reservations got to prioritize as many people as a dealer with 700...
  2. Dealers asking for $5K - $30K ADM markup on 2022 F150 Lightning!

It is possible that a dealer can move their last reservation up before their first yes. However, timestamps are only one factor at play when it comes down to if you will get to order. Size of dealer and how many Lightnings they are given, timestamp, how quick people are to jump on placing their...
  3. Dealers asking for $5K - $30K ADM markup on 2022 F150 Lightning!

That info is both true and untrue: When you switch you will be placed in queue based upon your timestamp automatically. If you do that today or tomorrow then they have the option to use one of their limited prioritization allowances to bump you manually. If you move after tomorrow then the...
  4. Dealers asking for $5K - $30K ADM markup on 2022 F150 Lightning!

Dealer here: Dealers get to change the order of 25 reservations (if they have over 100 reservations). That includes taking people from out of their state and bumping them so they can help local customers. It is entirely up to them. Ford will take the order into account but their verbiage was...
  5. Dealers asking for $5K - $30K ADM markup on 2022 F150 Lightning!

Dealer here: No, Ford did a great job of making it difficult for dealers to get vehicles without customer consent. It will be impossible to order a Lightning without a reservation and customer consent. Could they sweet talk a customer into giving them their reservation, sure, but customer still...
  6. [Kearny Mesa] Ford Lightning Update: Order Bank Date Pushed Back

Our ordering program does not indicate what exact items are causing delays. Only a general communication of delay items can enlighten us to that, or if Ford includes wait times based upon trim like they do on the Mach-E build and price.
  7. [Kearny Mesa] Ford Lightning Update: Order Bank Date Pushed Back

We ask ourselves that all the time. In terms of that Bulletin, it is asking that we have our pricing rules created so that people will see it accurately online when submitting an order (think MSRP +/- rules).
  8. [Kearny Mesa] Ford Lightning Update: Order Bank Date Pushed Back

That's from the "Fleet Dealer News Bulletin" that is published weekly. The date of the 26th was leaked there very briefly weeks ago but Ford promptly removed it. It's shown TBD for some time. Vehicle locator still has a bulletin out that we need to be ready for online ordering by the 26th. Also...
  9. [Kearny Mesa] Ford Lightning Update: Order Bank Date Pushed Back

Hey Denny, another dealer here. That document that states "TBD" was the first location that the date of the 26th was leaked by accident several weeks ago. Ford very quickly replaced the published doc with a revised one listing the start time as TBD. Shortly after that however in Vehicle Locator...
  10. October 26 is apparently NOT when 2022 F-150 Lightning ordering begins (order bank opens)

Me, who works at a dealership as the new retail ordering manager, who received a nation wide bulletin laying out the new invoice structure in painstaking detail compared to the old :)
  11. October 26 is apparently NOT when 2022 F-150 Lightning ordering begins (order bank opens)

Correct, on Lightning MSRP = Invoice. This was communicated to us about a week ago.
  12. October 26 is apparently NOT when 2022 F-150 Lightning ordering begins (order bank opens)

I've seen the 2022 ICE order guide. Nearly the same as 2021 unless they randomly introduce a big change between now and end of month. Lightning will be similar but only in terms of standard items I believe. Goal is simplification of the build and ordering process.
  13. October 26 is apparently NOT when 2022 F-150 Lightning ordering begins (order bank opens)

Word of caution, Ford will likely not allow the x-plan program on Lightning due to demand. That happened on the Bronco. A dealer can try to match that price if they want but just a heads up before you join mustang club of america or something like that.
  14. October 26 is apparently NOT when 2022 F-150 Lightning ordering begins (order bank opens)

There is no "Ford Ordering through the website". Not yet at least. The two programs that can be utilized to order a vehicle are WBDO and CONCEPS (being phased out). Right now Ford's "online ordering" tools are merely a tracking method. When you do a build it saves the details, sends it to...
  15. October 26 is apparently NOT when 2022 F-150 Lightning ordering begins (order bank opens)

You can change dealers until the Reservation is in WBDO, which could happen a couple different ways. Option 1: Dealer clicks on your reservation and submits to WBDO without your knowledge (this happened on Bronco for some people in the beginning, Ford since implemented a safeguard). Option 2...
  16. October 26 is apparently NOT when 2022 F-150 Lightning ordering begins (order bank opens)

Ah, that is up to each dealership. What we do at ours is print out the Order Summary from WBDO which has the MSRP listed on it. We then have the customer sign and date it and we consider that our agreement to price. Not super legally binding I know, but we stick to it. If a discount is agreed...
  17. Questions for Lightning Event?

From what I have been told the DC pins are for backup only.
  18. Questions for Lightning Event?

It is and I have seen that listed as a reason. Also got an insight on range while towing. Not much but I'll take it. They had one Lightning there that was only towing wherever they went a 5,500 LB trailer hard. At our ride along it accelerated hard up a hill before doing some more driving over...
  19. Questions for Lightning Event?

They said it will not work unless you have the large battery but I don't 100% believe them. They were almost as much in the dark as we are right now (dealers)
