Back in 2020 when I made up my mind to buy an EV. I strated looking at what was out there.
Why I bought the F-150 lighting
#1 Pro power on board VTH back up power to my home.
#2 I save $4,000.00 a year on gas.
#3 full size truck my family is safer in this rig.
#4 full size spare not to be under...
I own a 2013 Chevy Volt that car is still running strong. This little truck should do the same.
Only wish it had 120 mile electric range 62 is not enough.
In Ontario Canada, we are on the ULT (Ultra Low Time of use)
11pm to 7am 2.8 cents/Kwh. Some times I will time shave the expensive power to run the 12,000 BTU C-air on long hot spells. It does make a difference for the monthly bill.
Ultimately what chl said about the option of a neutral switching transfer switch (like the Generac 6853) when you can get one is the best way and leave it at that. :)
Wow, if that is the case then all Lightnings are dangerous whether connected to the house or not.
I believe the truck's GFI are safe and will protect the users connect to the house or not.
Just saying about the just saying. :)
People kept asking me if I moded the truck or it was out of the box that fast.
Lariat ER: I ran with the summer stock tires this time traction was better.
