I got a Power Boost , 6.5' bed, 4x4. It was supposed to come with all terrain tires. What I got were Michelin Primacy XC 275/65R18 116T tires. On Tire Rack, they are called all season tires, and they were panned by all the consumers. It hasn't been tested by Tire Rack.
Anyone here have...
There were a number that popped up. 1 neighbor has a sense of humor, I guess. His wifi setup is named FBI Surveillance Van.
In any case, The truck told me that I was up to date WRT to OTA updates.
For me, the 2.0 Kw generator would not be worth getting. For starters, the 2.0 isn't large enough to run the A/C in my trailer. The second reason is the truck's engine runs the entire time the generator is being used.
Maybe that particular splitter will not work, but the 7.2Kw "generator" can be used to power 2 30 amp travel trailers. Certainly can use a 50 amp dog bone and then plug a 50 amp to 2 30 amp splitter.
We will have to disagree.
There is another dog bone which has the NEMA L14-30P on one end and 2 RV style 3 prong receptacles. 2 30 Amp trailers can be powered at the same time.
All that Kw generator is this. 240 hz to 50 amp plug
All that is needed is a NEMA L14-30P 4 prong locking male (connector on PB truck) to NEMA 14-50R female receptacle dog bone. There are a bunch on Amazon.
The 50Amp cord from the trailer plugs into the dog bone end.
Not sure why you need that battery guard. My 2014 EB came with a that same sort of device that will not allow a trailer drain the chassis battery when the truck engine is shut off.
I like Tow Mirrors even when not towing. I like the extra large viewing area. My ;18 Fusion has what I would call "petite" mirrors. I do not get enough view of what's behind me with them.
I have a similar truck, except it's a 2014, last of the steel bodied trucks, but SCAB with an 8' box. 163" WB. It's payload is 2286#. In it's entire 100,000+ miles it has never seen any tow mpg near 12.4. I've always read in amazement, the reported 11+ mpg. If a tanks ends up at 10.5 or...
Any idea how water tight it will be? On my old 2005 F150, I could never find a regular tonneau that was water tight. So I went with an Undercover brand tonneau. It over lapped the bed all the way around.
I like the Undercover tonneau covers. They are hard, and they roll over the edge, making them more water resistant. My old 2005 F150 with Scab, 4x4 and 6.5' box had an Undercover. I never could get any of the other style of tonneaus to keep all water out of the bed.
My current 2014 has a...
Interesting you are saying the KO2's are getting loud. I just realized my KO2's are making quite the racket now. I probably have 30k + miles on them. They were probably getting louder for a while, but I wasn't noticing. However one day it dawned on me that seemed to be much louder than when...
I couldn't deal with 1265#. Between my wife and especially me, and the trailer tongue weight and the weight of the hitch, almost the entire payload would be gone. Hopefully, the PB 302A I've ordered will be in the 1550#-1650# category.
I'm spoiled with my current 2014 HDPP truck which is 2286#.
It should power everything, excluding the A/C. I currently use 2 Honda EU2000i gennys hooked in parallel. If I do not need A/C, I only run one and have never had any problems. Just don't use a hairdryer with, say, the micro.
