Took mine in to the dealer and they couldn’t get any updates to work for two days. Meanwhile in my driveway…
they probably left the doors or hood open.
My CarPlay screen has a crappy border around it now. Any way to fix this? Started with the new update 2.3.0
my CarPlay screen shots are also not the same, they are smaller and offset to the left like they are positioned on the screen.
Absolutely 100% not. If a feature comes out after you buy your vehicle, your are not entitled to it. You may be given that feature, you may be asked to pay for it if you see value, but no one owes you a free update unless something was wrong with the car to begin with. You are missing the point...
Welcome to software sales lifecycle. You might get them, you might not, or might be able to purchase a subscription. It depends if they want to take the have customers love them, drive new vehicle sales, or bring in incremental revenue. I’m betting on the latter.
You're missing the point. You bought a truck that didn't have those features, and they weren't promised. In years past, you didn't get anything that wasn't on the car when you drove it off the lot. It is a bonus to get updates that add features. I am in the same boat, you aren't missing much on...
You don’t understand how these work… not all updates are for all trucks. The current hardware and firmware and software matters. This varies by manufacturing date, trim, etc.
If you want to complain about feature releases like blue cruise that is fine, but please don’t complain about something...
The links at at the end of the document. Itself.
mother than the sway bar size, I think everything is accurate. Parking brakes, brake sizes, radiators, that’s all legit.
There is nothing to “credit” for 17T. It doesn’t increase capacity. Beyond the radiator, the parking brake is also different. “Trailer tow” is referred to as “heavy duty” in the esourcebook and the owners manual.
The thread was started with a document. That consolidated much of the known info.
For starters, you don’t have the larger radiator, which is needed to pass the SAE tests with a 3.5 Ecoboost. It is rated for 7,000lbs. The chat people literally know nothing and are not engineers.
we haven’t any word from Ford on this, but it does specifically state in the documentation and in the actual build sheets that 17T + 53B does not get a rating over 7,000lbs. I wish we knew exactly why. On some trucks, the radiators are different (according to the documents). We cannot assume 17T...
Medium is no towing package but with the class IV hitch.
heavy duty is trailer tow package
max duty is max trailer tow.
no, we probably don’t know all of the differences but we do have documentation that there are some differences and they are different build codes and the legal tow ratings...
