Thanks for clarification! I don't want to mislead anyone but it definitely worked for me under the conditions I listed. Good to note there is a dependency/interaction with the other camera-at-speed mods.
This may be anecdotal but I'll offer this data point:
My 2017 RWD Ecoboost I averaged 24-25mpg on freeway doing about 70mph. I could "run up the scoreboard" on MPG if I took 55mph highways and get about 28mpg at that speed.
My 2021 4WD Powerboost I absolutely cannot come close to this. I get...
I am only on 2.5.1 and yesterday I turned on cruise and got the same bluecruise popup, but no visual difference in my cluster. Presumably because I don't fully have BC yet. Also, I got the "eyes on the road!" warning and my eyes were already on the road. Hopefully again, its because I don't...
Interesting! Can you name your cards? I'm guessing the originals plus bed camera?
Zone lighting (useless!)
Nav
Audio
Propower
Eco behavior (useless!)
[NEW] Bed camera?
Zone lighting is useless because I find the cards a convenient way to flip through things while DRIVING. I would not turn...
Question: When you bought the truck, did it have the bed camera card option?
When I bought mine, I had the original powerboost cards only - no Trip1/2, no Fuel Economy, no Bed Camera. So are you saying that newer updates enabled the full set of cards without any forscan mods?
I don't remember (there are so many) which thread that someone asked when OTA update the cameras in motion start working for Job1 trucks. I used Forscan to enable them on mine, and I added the "Bed Camera" card at the same time. While cameras in motion worked, the card did NOT work, so I...
I'm loving the progress updates here!
I had the "Bluecruise!" email, and got 2.4.3 the next day. Was stuck on that for over a week, then got 2.4.4. Just today I got 2.4.5, so we're all in this together on the big leap to 2.5.1!
Personally I have my update time set to 1am every night...
Great idea! I'm going to connect my trickle charger tonight so that my 1am scheduled update check sees the trick charge voltage. See if that gets me past 2.4.3.
Man, I had 2 updates in 2 days that got me up to 2.4.3, after I got the "BlueCruise!" email. I thought I'd be getting 1-a-day to get me that sweet, sweet Job1 BC and bed camera.
9 days later I'm still on 2.4.3. Not sure if any others paused here with me or just blew past it? Wanted to check...
I've had my new phone (galaxy s22 ultra) for 35 days and I finally got my first random android auto disconnect with it. It did automatically reconnect in about 20 seconds, as usual with my old phone too.
So it does not appear to be phone specific.
In my opinion this (https://www.granddesignrv.com/showroom/2022/travel-trailer/imagine-xls/floorplans/17mke) is the perfect spacious layout and specs for going solo with a dog. There was a youtube couple that did a year in one towing it with a jeep SUV. The full size bathroom and huge kitchen...
Uh oh, I'm a little worried about the "when speed limit dropped" part. I'm hoping that BC does not force us to drive at the limit, and that it is not using optical sign recognition and rather is using GPS/map based limits? Here in California the optical recognition is not good because after...
Well since state-of-charge actually *is* just the voltage translated through a battery I-V curve, then your external charger might just trick the state-of-charge calculation based on whatever voltage it outputs. I'd be interested to know if that works!
Mine made it up to 2.4.3 last night and I...
Can vouch for the Snap n Zap clip over mirrors. I had them on my '17 and used only when towing. The extended mirror only vibrates a little so they are very useable. I read many reviews about the various clip on ones and it seems impossible to get rid of the vibration and if they vibrate your...
