All good (and clever!) workarounds. I'd totally keep the fob somewhere in the truck...if it had the drive by PIN option.
I still think the Pro is perfectly capable of PAAK as it can already remote "start" (this still cracks me up but that's another story altogether) / lock / unlock via app...
We have a truck that can already smoke 98% of anything that's out there off the line. Instead of focusing on improving the glaring quality of life oversights lets instead pour resources into building a niche halo vehicle that nobody needs....
Disappointing, but thank you for the info. I'm less concerned about auto locking / unlocking feature, just wanted to drive without an obnoxiously large keyfob in my pocket. I have to add it's a strange thing since you can unlock and "start" the truck remotely through the app - so why not...
Just curious if phone as a key is possible on the Pro. Is it something I'm not doing, is it missing hardware compared to higher trims, or is it simply kept behind a higher trim paywall? Curious minds want to know. One would think a 60k (these days) truck would warrant such a feature...I can't...
It would be nice if Ford gave us a PIN to drive feature. Seems like an easy to implement peace of mind for those concerned about possible vehicle theft
To my eyes the classic look of the production truck appeals way more than that 'squished' looking concept. A bit too much going on on the hood, otherwise I like it.
I'm glad your experience has been a positive one. And perhaps my 'blanket statement' is only the size of the northeast, but in the congested Connecticut - Virginia I95 corridor, the times I traveled fast-charging equipment reliability has been at best hit or miss or often all were in use (or...
The reality is road tripping in a non-Tesla EV is an early adopter unfortunate at this stage of the game. There are plenty of merits to the Lightning but with the current state EV charging infrastructure, taking long road trips is not one of them. This will of course improve over time, but...
My biggest gripes have to do with seating. The lack of a front jump seat configuration is a strange omission in a utility-centric vehicle for both work crews and families alike. Instead, we get an overly complicated shifter and storage console, where both solve a problem that no longer exists...
The truck is ummmm... unique, I'll give it that. But the adjustable height suspension is giving me ideas for fitting my truck in my not quite tall enough garage. Plus I would bet lowering a bit on the highway would help with range. Hmmmm....
Hate to see this happen but do keep us posted regarding the process as it may be useful to those unlucky ones that will inevitably find themselves in similar circumstances. I do hope the truck won't be totaled and all is fixed as good as new.
Thank you, that was a great suggestion. I'm inclined to believe that you are correct, as selecting the Tow Technology package in the configurator appears to add what looks to be a camera on the third taillight.
To get the bed / cargo camera feature, do I need the 360 degree camera / Tow Technology option? Or is the bed camera just a zoomed out reverse camera / that's part of the Co-Pilot 360 standard package?
I too am concerned whether my shorter wife will be okay driving our Pro. Seat height adjustment is a most basic feature and lack thereof could potentially pose a legitimate safety issue. What a misstep for Ford not to include it.
Thanks for all the replies! To clarify, I am NOT walking away, just a 'what if' that's come to my mind since it's order time... life happens after all :)
As the title says, what happens should I need to walk away at some point after placing my order? Apologies if this has been asked before but I could not find a clear answer to this question...
