I have a 2023 F150 Lightning Lariat trim. Less than 4K miles. I don't drive it a lot -- about once or twice per week. Twice in the last two months, the LVB has died (throwing lots of error codes) and I needed to recharge the LVB to bring the vehicle back to life. The weather here in Atlanta...
Sure is a PIA, though this is really on the body shop to resolve. I'm sure they will not like having to order another bumper assembly since they long ago closed out the repair with my insurance company.
Randall, don't be fooled by the picture. Virtually everything from the right corner panel, across the front of the truck, to the left corner panel were replaced. The body shop kept going back to the insurance company with addendum after addendum. Lots of parts and labor. Also, the Ford...
@SpaceEVDriver I assume that you removed the trim piece from your bumper to take this picture. If so, MUCH THANKS! I'm now wondering if this trim piece is considered part of the bumper cover assembly. This makes me wonder why it is missing from the replacement bumper cover.
If still...
I've seen this diagram and looked at it with the parts manager at the local Ford dealer. The missing piece is not shown on this diagram. It is a long, flat, thin piece that does not look like anything here. We concluded that Ford omitted this part from this diagram.
The body shop ordered the...
That's a long story. The truck should have been totaled. Basically, the insurance adjuster did not look at the vehicle themself and depended on the judgment of an individual at the tow lot where they evaluate vehicles for repair or to be totaled. The original repair estimate was $16,000.00...
Thanks for the idea, but the accident happened last Fall. It took five months to repair. I doubt the body shop still has the original part. But I'm guessing that this part would come out pretty easily given the rather large slots in the bumper where this trim piece attaches.
The front bumper (actually, the front 1/3 of my truck) was replaced due to an accident. My body shop has spent weeks trying to locate a small trim piece that attaches to the front bumper, but nobody can identify it. I even went to the local dealership to show the parts manager what...
This is a shot in the dark, but wondering if anyone else has heard of this happening...
While driving my Lightning I rear-ended a car in front of me coming up to a stop light. I had one-pedal-driving and auto-hold engaged. As I approached the red light, it was clear that the car would not...
I have a 2023 Lariat standard range battery w/ Blue Cruise on order (September build date) which will qualify for the tax credit. There is a used 2022 Platinum with 3,000 miles for sale at a nearby dealer. They are asking $84,000, but I think I might be able to get them down closer to $80,000...
I received the email from @Ford Motor Company on Wednesday 9/6/2022 at 6:31 PM to order my Lightning. I went to the website later that evening. The Pro model was sold out (as expected), so I configured an XLT. Hit the order button around midnight. Discover card payment for $1,000.00 confirmed...

Just received email to order my 2023 Lightning. I own two Mustang Mach-E's, but I find ordering the Lightning more complicated. I'm trying to decide between the XLT and Lariat. I don't need all the bells and whistles, but I do want all the tech. I have Blue Cruise on my Mach-E's and want it...
