@Jesse-Infotainment , is this normal on the APIM? The ML3T- under (F12A). This is a job2 and it’s never had an APIM Update, so not related to an update. Just curious if others see the same thing; Seems odd.
.
I have a Job 2 truck with Sync 4.0.21136. It doesn't show any APIM updates for me either and I have applied all updates. I'm not sure if something is wrong or if there isn't an update for my APIM hardware. I also haven't seen a GWM update, either.
I completed my updates with no battery issues. Are you suggesting that I follow that wire back, which is closer to the battery? There is a nut which appears to be just before the battery monitoring system and the negative post. (Looks like someone posted just before I did confirming my question.)
This is the best location I have found to connect the negative lead to the truck. The other locations in this thread didn't work for me. I'm using the maintainer recommended.
@jmargo TRM (Trailer Module), DDM (Driver Door Module), PDM (Passenger Door Module). The alarm going off when a trailer is connected requires all those modules to be updated. (TSB 22-2084)
I saw another post where there was a defect that impacted locking. I would contact Bak for a warranty claim using that picture. Mine has never had an issue like that!
I was reading, 418-01B Module Configuration, regarding modules that can take OTA updates. Basically, it is easier to list the modules that can not update OTA.
List of modules that can't update OTA:
ACM (audio front control module)
DSP (audio digital signal processing)
GSM (gear shift module)...
I have a job2 on the same version of Sync. I have not received any OTA updates other than a Blue Cruise update (Map Update). I don't believe they have released an OTA update for Sync on the job2 trucks.
Too bad the VCM 3's are hard to find and cost a ton of money. It sounds like that might be the best option to see everything without issues if you can afford it.
