Is the shifter even connected to anything? It's just a giant multi-position switch. I imagine an electronics whiz could quite easily replace that entire mechanism with a small knob.
Any additional info to point to? The plug is a 4-pin, one of which is ground. Is there an issue with this on existing pro power solutions? I realize there's no real grounding rod going anywhere on a truck but figured they dealt with it somehow.
I have the same setup at my house with the mechanical interlock and a 30 amp inlet. Currently, I hook it up to a 8000 watt generator when needed and do old school load shedding by flipping breakers. I'm getting the 9.6kw power option so I can hook the truck up to that same inlet when needed as...
Wanted a Pro. Willing to get an XLT SR as long as its during the full tax credit. Otherwise I'll find something else or wait longer. Even XLT SR has me slightly bitter. The package/trim/pricing scheme by Ford has me remembering why I don't buy Detroit autos.
What exactly do you mean here? I was planning on using the Mobile Charger that's included connected to 240V/30A. Would that be sufficient to pre-condition without losing charge? I don't necessarily expect it to gain range while pre-conditioning.
I'm in the same boat as you and planning the same. If I can't get a MY22 Pro, I'll go up to XLT because the net increase (with offsetting tax credit) is worth it to me. I won't go further than that though.
I'm surprised to see you got the 9.6 kW addon and the Tow Tech but not the Max Tow...
Definitely agree. What I meant was if it was purely timestamp driven, there would be enough trucks in the MY22 production run to get one based on my order time, even just based on Jim Farley's tweet regarding the first 12 hours after reveal.
I'm seriously starting to wonder if I should move my reservation. I'm 43 out of 584 reservations. I ordered at 10:14 PM on the night of the reveal, so about 45 minutes after reservations started. Based on timestamp nationally, I'm guaranteed a MY22 order. Based on dealer allocation, I doubt it...
That's good to hear. If I add the Tow Tech Package to the Pro, I get this as well:
"Mirror – LED Side-View Mirror Spotlights"
So, I get the LED spotlights they just don't turn on when I unlock the car. I guess we'll see how it all shakes out, maybe they do.
Trying to determine what creature comforts I'd be giving up sticking with Pro. I don't need much but I am wondering, what is "Illuminated Entry"? Is that dome lights coming on with the door? Are there cars that don't have that??
