The install directions were very well done and the fabricator was very responsive and helpful. The design is very simple and I could have bent these myself. But the quality of material and bolts is very good.
I forgot to update this thread. I ended up buying this kit from LMI welding lmi 1520 SA. It essentially will shift the seat bottom forward by almost an inch which will in effect recline the seat back. It also has a bracket to reposition the seat back latches so they still function. It did make...
It looks like Ford didn't change the mounts for the rear seats so I'm guessing the brackets will fit. I just feel they are priced about 2x of what I think they are worth.
I was thinking of fabricating some brackets to address the backseat. This kit is way overpriced but moves the base 1/2" forward to give a little recline. I think the base cushion could be angled upward as well to give a little more thigh support for people with longer legs. I was thinking about...
What about losing oil pressure when the engine cuts out waiting at a light? Most people will accelerate as soon as the engine turns back on. Isn't this bad for longevity?
My gaskets touch the inner edge of the front and tail of the bed. There isn't much tolerance for overlap. I'm waiting for the caps to be made available so if this lasts a couple years its a bargain.
I think you need to slide it back an inch. I thought it was a little short too but the tailgate on this truck with the integrated step is pretty thick.
I just ordered the factory drop in liner and picked it up at a dealer. It was around $230 and had the cutouts for the propower and rubber plugs for the tie downs. Really inexpensive factory fit.
Are you taking it in for an alignment? Also, I love the olds in the other bay. I had a '70 cutlass in high school that had way too little traction for a teenager.
Yep, this sits on top of the bed and tailgate so it doesn't interfere. the gasket on the rear is about an inch wide so you can position it front to rear so you get a good seal with the tailgate. It really is a bargain compared to other brands. I don't know how the material will stand up over a...
I have the regular B&O as well. It's definitely pretty good and would agree there is a concentration of sound from the dash. The stereo setting lowers that a bit. The bass won't rattle the windows but this truck is very quiet at speed so you really don't need that.
