I've posted earlier in this thread and had thought, at the time, that simply connecting the 7-way with the truck turned off was the fix. Started a trip today and all was fine until we stopped to weigh at a CAT scale. When we were ready to leave we got the dreaded "No Trailer" message. At the...
I've had the same issue over and over. '21 F150 towing a new Airstream. Di-electric grease seemed to be the answer but then one day no matter what I did (tweak the connector blades, add grease, clean...) the trailer brakes would not work.
I had the Airstream dealer plug the trailer's 7-way into...
I read somewhere on another forum that the new generation F-150s only energize the 7-way charging pin if a trailer is detected. That would explain the lack of a voltage reading. I don't know if that true or not since there's no simple way to measure it if the trailer is connected.
The...
We took our new '21 F-150/Airstream combo on its maiden voyage this week. I realize that the 12 volts offered thru the 7-way trailer connector gives little more than a trickle charge but when we got to our destination I was surprised to see that it hadn't charged the trailer batteries at all. I...
As the OP on this thread, I have to say that after taking delivery of my Lariat Sport this week that I actually like the red/brown accents. The contrast is WAY more subtle in real-life vs. the online pictures. After being really negative on it pre-delivery, I can honestly say that I might have...
I'll be picking my truck up this week and I know that my dealer will be suggesting Ziebart undercoat/rust protection. I generally decline any of the dealer add-ons but this is my first new truck and I'm interested any options that the group can offer. Thanks.
At some point in the last couple of weeks Ford changed the B&P images. The B&P for my build currently shows the chrome caps. I have a Lariat Sport on order and a few weeks ago downloaded several of the B&P images to share with a friend. One is attached below and shows black mirror caps. The...
Thanks - I'll check that out. Looks like Ford forces the 20" chrome wheels over the painted alloy which is too bad. They sure don't make this easy......
I'd go after the dash accents first. To me they look the worst of all. You are probably correct about needing to replace the full door panel. The dash panels might be separate items.
I'm one of the many who like the non-chrome look of the Sport trim but REALLY dislike the brown interior accents. Any thoughts on the feasibility and cost of replacing those parts post-delivery? These would have to be in Ford's Parts catalog, right? It looks like there are seven specific items -...
This is one of those "How good is good enough?" questions....... I don't want to be disappointed with the audio in a $60k truck but I suspect the base B&O is still really good.
What made you decide to go with the Unleashed upgrade?
Does anyone know if the B&O base system (not the Unleashed version) is the same audio system that was previously the high end audio option in the 2019 F-150? I cranked up that system while on a test drive several months ago and thought it sounded great. Still on the fence if the Unleashed...
Giving this a bump to see if there are any opinions...Thanks........
Any opinions on whether or not the Unleashed upgrade would be less of an improvement (and thus not worth the extra ~$650 cost) in a SuperCab version? I'm just wondering if acoustically in the smaller cabin the standard B&O...
I posted this in response to another thread but thought I'd give it it's own....
