Correct, but it would go from 2 to zero which is what we there before BC 1.4. A one would leave the preview enabled.....not sure what that would do, tbh.
In that case, I don't see anything to be concerned about. You just need to wait for Ford to release more updates for your truck before you can get further along the process in terms of where you stand in your Sync version.
Oh, I though that was the other truck. You could be affected by the attached SSM Ford sent to dealers, or there could be some back-end issues due to the TCU that is in your truck. I have no way of knowing which applies to your truck.
Since you have PTS and access to vehicle history, I would...
What Sync version is the truck on now?
My concern is that according to the OP, the TCU is not the original one your truck came with. If that is the case, there is a possibility that if the incorrect TCU was installed, it created a problem for future updates to be able to be installed on your...
I believe it is here:
https://www.motorcraftservice.com/Purchase/ViewProduct?FCSNumber=FCS-AVL-WEB&termID=3
Once you type the VIN in PTS, you hover over the "Diagnsotics" tab and then click on "Vehicle Software". That screen will show you all the modules on the network, which ones have pending...
You can trun off predictive speed assist in driver assistance > cruise control in your touchscreen settings. I don't like it and most people don't like it either from what I have seen in the forums.
Tbh, I have never used the ab data to try an obtain a p/n. To me, the info there looks like the file names and not the p/n. If someone really wanted to, I think the easiest way would be to just pony up the $28 to by a 3 day pass for PTS and you can easily obtain the p/n for any vehicle that way.
I know the info is in there, but I do not know how to find it in the ab file other than doing a control F and searching for it. However, if you knew what you were looking for, there would be no need to look for it. Best I can think of is let's says you wanted to know the info for the GWM, you...
OTA's depend on the state of the LVB to install. The algorithm takes into account, SoC, capcaity, voltage, temperature, BMS data quality, estimated install time and if the calculation is below spec, the update will not attempt to install.
The case below is from an ICE F150 who upgraded his 12v...
The OTA failed; that's why you got that message. It failed due to a software mismatch, so it is possible the dealer did update it and the OTA failed because there was nothing to update.
If the SoC being reported to the cloud is wrong, then the BMS data quality is compromised and PTS will show you that is the case. No harm in trying a BMS reset once the battery is at 100% charge.
@Jesse-Infotainment Unfortunately, with my watered-down PTS access, I can no longer see vehicle history to see what the dealer did or not. I can also no longer see the software updates tab to see what strat his BCM is on compared to what the OTA wants to send him.
@Vegas The SoC and battery...
I know it was connected and talking to the cloud because your DTC history is there for 60 days (which is as long as it is kept on the cloud). If your truck was not talking to the cloud, the connected data would only show a few days of history based on whenever you did whatever they asked you to...
They can 100% see what modules have pending updates.
There was nothing wrong with your car. It was talking to the cloud just fine. They just haven't sent you any updates since July. 4-5 months without an iupdate is not abnormal with the way this works. If they did send you updates between July...
