It is bizarre what is being shipped and delivered and what is not. Doesn't make any sense. The communication sucks, and I agree, Ford should be fawning over the MY22 orders. I'm gonna sit back and wait like taxmanhog says to.
I'm blend date 5/22
built email 6/8
shipped email 6/11
delivery window 7/14-7/20 to Northern California
still showing those dates on the canadian Ford Tracker page
and no ship details showing on the OrderTrack app except "convoy"
I did get the updated window sticker 6/16
and the rolling off...
Good question. I know I'm not, but I'd like a 2022. I have more information now - I know I'm #11 at my dealer and he says Ford allocated him 21 MY22's. I've called around my area and all the dealers are charging an ADM. I would take delivery in another state, but I think Ford is allocating...
I agree with all of what you said. But since I'm tied to my dealer, I don't think I'll see a 2022 without being on my dealer priority list. And as you said, even then, I might not get a chance to order. I guess I'll find out tomorrow or over the next few waves.
No reason to be snippy or...
Well, why don't you enlighten me then? How is that incorrect? My understanding (from the dealer instructions and info from my dealer) is that you don't have a chance at a 2022 unless your dealer forwarded Ford your name on 12/17. The first 15K vehicles will probably be gone by the second order...
Yep, I agree. I think the chip supply will rebound and that will drive the price of used cars down as well. I'm just going to see how it plays out for the 2022. I'll see if I get an invitation to order from Ford and then see if I can negotiate with my dealer to get the ADM down. I know a lot...
Well, I interpreted that differently, based on my conversation with the dealer and reviewing the dealer instructions. I don't think there is any way to have a chance at a 2022 without being on the prioritization list, and my dealer wanted me to agree to $10K ADM to be on the list.
The dealer has a ton of power. I have a copy of the dealer instructions. You won't get a 2022 unless the dealer has forwarded your name as a 'priority' by midnight last night (12/17).
I've read the dealer instructions pretty carefully. Referral might be the wrong word, but there is no way to get a 2022 without having the dealer send your name to Ford as a 'priority' to be eligible for an order. As someone posted below, this is supply and demand vs now gratification for me...
I hear you. Just to be clear - the 10K is an ADM that would be applied if the order goes through. They were not going to refer me if I was unwilling to accept the ADM. I said yes, but I haven't committed to anything yet.
This is a tough decision for me. I got a call from the dealer yesterday, too. I was one of the 1st reservations for the dealer. He was offering me a 2022 for a 10K ADM. After reading up on this forum (and getting a copy of the 22MY F-150 Lightning ordering guide for dealers - super helpful)...
