Another thing...before you try to do any updates again.....go back to the selftest screen and with the truck fully on and running do a "clear and retest" to clear out any DTCs. Sometimes after one or more module updates you're returned to the available software screen and the left side panel...
Today's Saturday and the servers should be up and running...although there have been times when they weren't on a Saturday..the biggest issue is really Sunday mornings when we always expect that the servers are down for maintenance.
I don't know what the list of updates were beyond the...
So...I just got back in the house, and you're right...I don't know what that was.
No software downloaded, just a javatest of some sort...it stepped though a bunch of this that and the other, reset the APIM, and 'cleared dtcs' a few times (I don't know if there actually were any, really) and...
Well something finally showed up this morning.
I've got a new APIM (Sync) update waiting to get applied so I'll grab some coffee and fire up the FDRS laptop to update that and see if anything more pops up afterwards (as it sometimes does).
Also, PTS says my Sync system previously got updated...
True...but still you'd think they could code the system so that only final full recall notifications are send to customers using the app...and not 'advance notices' that aren't final yet (due to lack of available parts).
You'll get people calling their dealerships only to be told that they...
The other thing is the bed extender came with different sets of "feet"...the round caps that go on the bottom of those two nubs on the bottom of the extender sides.....if you use the shorter rubber feet caps then there's going to be more bounce because it leaves a larger gap. That's why they...
Well, even drilling the hole in the work surface panel and dropping that center pin down to further secure things isn't going to prevent the bounce entirely.
When it's folded and not in use it partially blocks the panel...so what you would do if you wanted to use the panel while driving is rotate the left side up a bit...run your cord to the panel and then rotate the left side back down...there's space between the power panel and the folded left side...
You have to lock the side pins into the folded down position holes to keep the bounce to a minimum. And even then the tailgate might move a bit if you don't have any weight on it.
Also, I didn't drill the hole in my work surface panel since I really just don't like putting unnecessary holes...
Saw this message when starting the climate this morning to go shopping:
and since I do own a Lariat with the rear lightbar and an advance notice has been sent about it's inspection and replacement I was aware. So I clicked the link to see if the 'final' full TSB had been issued yet....and...
I have avoided the temptation to 'upgrade' to the Diehard H3, which supposedly has a slightly greater Ah rating, simply because the BMS settings in the truck would likely routinely undercharge it. There are FORScan settings available for those who wish to 'tweak' their charging threshold etc. in...
There are many posts about this 12V AGM just quitting abruptly with seemingly no warning (there may have been signs, but the owners may not have recognized what was happening meant the battery was going out).
If you're still under warranty, they can test and replace your battery for free...
His '24 Flash should already have the later version of the BMS module.
I would go out and do the BMS Learned Values Reset dance every six months though...you're spot on there....
@Ford Motor Company ...you see what happens when all the OTAs stop and people can't get their vehicles fixed? The bickering starts on the forums...and then there's flame wars and it's all because you stopped sending out OTAs....I think.
OBCC module updates are released to address issues with DC fast chargers. It's possible that this truck needs somebody to check and update the OBCC module (if there's an update available) as part of the diagnostic steps to determining corrective action.
A full set of powertrain updates takes 25-30 minutes on a Lightning (PCM, ABS, BECM, SOBDM, SOBDMB, SOBDMC, GFM2). The IPMA takes the longest and can be 2.5 to 3 hrs. The CMR can take about an hour. The USB-updateable GWM, APIM, and TCU take about 40 to 45 minutes to step through the whole...
