I just drove from Massachusetts to Virginia and back. Once I got the hang of it, the A2Z charger worked like a charm. The Tesla network is like flying first class.
I did have a charging fault or two, and one time got a "charger is paused" error message, but generally speaking I could get...
I just wanted to circle back around and say that I tried this and it worked like a charm. I had the parts and successfully made a neutral to ground plug the same day. Thank you all!
In the end, I could charge at 12amps from a 20 amp generator with my J+ Booster 2. It would have taken forever...
I'm going somewhere remote this weekend that will stretch the limits of my range. As an insurance policy, I thought I might bring my portable generator (Honda EG2800i). However, when I plug my J+ Booster 2 into one of the 20Amp 120V outlets on the generator, I get a fault signal on the J+...
Yup, I still ended up breaking a couple of the plastic retaining clips on the smaller forward trim panel, between the frunk and the headlight but that wasn't on account of moving the tub, I just pried on the panel a little too hard.
Thanks!
I love your physical buttons.

Another one bites the dust! Thanks to everyone who made this possible. Even with the great info above, I had a bit of a hard time locating the beeper but eventually found it.
In order to keep the harness end sealed, I left the beeper in place but disabled it by removing it's contact pins with...
I decided to use a mobile charger as my permanent at-home charging solution and skipped the installation of any hardwired charger. I'm installing a 50amp Nema 14-50 in the garage and will be able to take the mobile charger with me when I travel and camp. My utility will also give me a $700...
I had trouble finding it too and ended up ordering it online at a premium. Given that, I don't think I'll do so again and will use one of the alternatives mentioned by Heliian.
I've had my XLT for about a month and love it. Last weekend, I crawled under the truck to oil it up with Lanox as a preventative measure against corrosion and rust. I live in the northeast where salted roads are a factor and I drive on the beach a lot. Btw, the Lightning is excellent in the...
Where did you see that language? I didn't notice it in the Ford announcement.
I have an XLT out for delivery this coming week and I'm hoping that I'm "saved by the bell" and will have my pricing adjusted downward.
I can confirm that Ford requires every customer order to be posted on the dealer website as if it were available stock. Recently, I called a dealer about a Maverick they had posted on their website and the salesperson seemed exasperated by the requirement because he was regularly fielding calls...
Thanks for the help! I got through.
I called Ford and waited about 35 minutes on hold before talking to someone in the combustion vehicle department (they're swamped with calls right now). That customer rep pulled up my reservation and the very moment after they did so... I successfully...
I got the text invite but when I log-in my reservation stills says " We will reach out when it is time to finalize your order. "
I keep refreshing to no avail. Can't get through to Ford.
So I signed in this morning and found that it appears as though I can't place an order for the Lightning at all. I was originally invited to order in December of '22 and missed out on the few XLTs available at that time. Since then, order options were open for the Lariat and Platinum, but now...
I remember during the 2022 wave process, forum members had intel on the timing of estimated subsequent waves. Is there any insight now?
Even if we can't say when XLTs might be available, paying closer attention near the next estimated wave seems prudent and would save logging in every day...
Let us know how it goes!
For what it's worth, my dealer tried that experiment for another customer in early January and it did not work at that time. But I hope to hear otherwise. Thanks
Thanks everyone. The tricky part for me is that I have an open invitation to order and don't expect to receive an email when the next wave might open up.
Short of checking my Ford account every day, I'm not sure how to monitor this effectively. Any suggestions?
I was invited to order on 12/15 but missed out on the XLT at that time because they were all snatched up in 48 hours. I wasn't quick enough. My reservation has since been extended out to 2/9/23. Do we have any insight into the timing of the next wave and whether or not any XLTs might become...
I was in the 12/15 wave with a 1/12/23 deadline to order but I missed out on the XLT, which sold out in about 48 hours. My reservation has been extended and currently shows that it will be open until 2/9/23.
Do we have any insight into when and if more XLTs might be made available? If it were...
