Thank you. I have the railcar number when on the Canadian National Railway but not the railcar number now that it has transferred to UP. I will see if I can get that number from calling the 800 number. From my notes taken from another forum member’s post:
Union Pacific1. Call UP at 1 800 877-51232. Follow phone prompts for Trace3. Say the railcar number complete and clearly. Example CN123456 all together4. Listen for your update
But how do you get the CN?From my notes taken from another forum member’s post:

No need….it should be the same rail car & number…they just switch the locomotives. My understanding is only a catastrophic event would necessitate a change in rail car….Thank you. That was just an example rail car number…. They generally start with 4 letters….mine started with TTGX (TTGX985038). The rail car number should be listed on your VVR (Photo of mine 3weeks ago)But how do you get the CN?
2 down, one to go.....Finally, a tiny bit of movement. Moved to Built. I'm highly suspicious of that delivery timeline as I'm in California. Bronco took a little over 3 weeks once it was put on a rail car.

Thank you. I called the 800 number but failed to figure out the prompts for a trace. I could not find a way for it to ask for the railcar number. No need….it should be the same rail car & number…they just switch the locomotives. Yeah, they can be a little tricky…don’t use a speaker mode and speak clearly and concisely.. otherwise, it will only recognize the first portion of your number…keypad entry doesn’t work wellThank you. I could not even figure out when to speak the railcar number. Every prompt asked for something different than a railcar number. I must not be understanding something simple.Yeah, they can be a little tricky…don’t use a speaker mode and speak clearly and concisely.. otherwise, it will only recognize the first portion of your number…keypad entry doesn’t work well
Data is shared among the major rail carriers. Try the UP tracker. But how do you get the CN?
Shamelessly stolen from the Bronco6g forum for tracking that I used for my bronco. I just used the CSX one and could track it even though it was handed off to Union pacific.I could not even figure out when to speak the railcar number. Every prompt asked for something different than a railcar number. I must not be understanding something simple.
