I just got a built status today. It is now awaiting shipping. I'll have to update the spreadsheet!

We need more train talk.

So riddle me this - Yellow Buddy has deduced that my truck will be coming on Norfolk Southern as they have the most logically located auto distribution facility for me (in Winston-Salem). When I dig into the NS network I see that their auto yard in Detroit is Melvindale. Melvindale is figuratively in the shadow of REV-C. My truck is supposedly in New Boston which is 10-20 miles away and is a CSX auto yard.

Wouldn't Ford just put my truck on the ramp at Melvindale if it were going NS? Are all trucks taken to New Boston and then mine will have to be transported to Melvindale by truck? Or is a rail car loaded at New Boston and then there's a spur line to the NS rail to get picked up by a locomotive when it passes by?

In 7/18, there are folks at Melvindale. So if you're at New Boston, you should be CSX. It seems that UnitedRoad is not doing your logistics though....maybe PALS?

Mine tells me to wait for delivery. Still hasn't stopped me from trying every day LOL.

@shoopg Not yet, same situation as you. I have to wait to take delivery of the vehicle first.

@TaxmanHog did your car get dropped off at the CSX rail lot in East Brookfield, MA? If so do you know how long it took from there to get to your dealer?

I got my railcar number from Ford chat and according to the CSX tracking the train should be in Selkirk, NY tomorrow morning.
