I just wanted to make this thread available for others who may find themselves in the same boat as myself.
Upon ordering my wheels I didn’t realize that trucks equipped with Max Trailer Tow package come with larger rear rotors, which means a larger rear calipers.
I’ve come across a few threads stating that 17” wheels will not work for those equipped with Max Trailer Tow. Unfortunately I didn’t come across this until my wheels already had tires mounted, meaning I couldn’t return them.
I can confirm that the 17” raptor wheels do not fit. The caliper hits the wheel.
I can confirm that Method’s 17x8.5 -0 offset does fit. There is roughly .25” of clearance between the caliper and the wheel itself.
Their isn’t enough room for a 1oz wheel weight to fit between the wheel and caliper. Take a look at the images - I put my truck into neutral and let it roll forward on its own and it popped most of the wheel weights off and actually wedged one weight between the caliper and the wheel itself to leave a nice ? surface mark around the inner barrel of the rim.
To my knowledge the Icon 17” wheels fit with about the same clearance.
Hopefully someone other than myself finds this information useful.
