Just watched this - TFL talks to chief engineer Sheldon Brown about how the 6th gen 4Runner and 4th gen Tacoma were developed together and their similarities / differences.

They also talk about the differences between the TRD Pro vs Trailhunter - what they're built for and their technical differences.

Was it meaningful?

Man the TNGA-F chassis looks stout. Especially that Trailhunter one they're showing with those built in rock sliders.

Interesting when he expplains how the frame is exactly same between 4Runner and Tacoma up until the halfway point and then it starts to differ for the 4runner because it's vehicle length is longer.

A totally boxed frame, so hopefully Toyota is more successful at corrosion/rust prevention than in the past. To me it seems a no-brainer to super-coat the frame, especially the internal areas.
