We are on vacation and I tried plugging up my truck to a good old fashion 120V plug with an extension cord. I can’t get it to go past 70% charge. It says I need to go to a charge station to go further. Has anyone else had this issue? Is there someway to get past 70%?

That is very weird. Haven't tried it yet with my Lightning, but no issues on our Mach-e. Just takes forever.

Easiest way is to try FordPass: "Charge To 100%" when you're plugged in.

Second try, set up your current location as a charging location "Charge When Plugged In" selected and make sure to adjust the slider above 70% when you set it up.

I've definitely charged past 70% using 120V AC many times. It's the only way to charge at my home or my cottage.

I tried setting our current location as a charging location. That didn’t work. It won’t even let me push charge to 100%. I am including a screenshot.

That is weird.
FWIW I can state with confidence there isn’t normally a limitation as a charge all the time on 120v at work and have it set to 90% by default (rarely get there due to time and amperage constraints) but I’ve requested 100% from the app without issue…including today.

Wish I had something helpful for you.

Then, maybe try deleting the location and then just plugging the truck in and see if the "Charge To 100%" is blue. It looks like it thinks you're trying to 'resume' a charging session at a location it doesn't know you're at. Mine seems very sensitive to location, as in one side of a wide driveway to the other.

Just to make sure, have you unplugged since it stopped charging?

I've charged past 70% multiple times on 120v so it's gotta be a bug in the the SW that's preventing you. Can't think of anything beyond what Amps suggested. Maybe call the Ford BEV customer support number?

How long is the extension?

Could be a power issue.

At the end of the day, I just had to plug into a different outlet and it worked fine, doh!
