So we're a very large dealer for ARB. That being said, we've got tons of ARB Compressors and all their hoses/fittings in stock. My Bronco has an ARB Compressor under the hood utilizing our patent pending compressor mount. But I wanted something for my new lightning as well.

Now... this isn't exactly an off-road vehicle BUT I've always carried a portable compressor in my trucks. Usually a ViAIR 400P (which we also keep in stock *cough*) but since using an ARB, i'm a bit spoiled.

Figured I'd install a twin in my bed. I have a RetraxOne XR Cover on my truck so it'll keep the elements off the compressor (although these ARB can handle the elements without any issues).

I had an extra BuiltRight Industries bed panel laying around (their small one) so figured I'd install that and mount the compressor to it. Problem was, none of the holes lined up. NO PROBLEM! I can design things in CAD. So i designed some simple brackets to mount to the back of the compressor, which let me bolt the entire assembly onto the panel.

Next, I took one of our Bronco ARB Coupler/Switch panels that we make and bolted that in. I drilled two holes and bolted it on up under my bed lighting button. Ran the line to the compressor, made my own power harness which I ran up through the bed, under the truck and over to the battery. DONE.

Install was pretty straight forward. Took a few hours since I made my own harness and kept everything very clean. Now i've got air wherever I go!

Seems like an expensive (But Very Cool) addition. I don't seem to seem to see the CFM output of this unit. Is this powerful enough to supply air-tools (Nail guns, etc.) if you pair it with a surge tank to handle the volume?

@4x4TruckLEDs.com the burning question is: have you tested frunk compatibility with any A-pillar light mounts?

if you add an air tank you can run some air tools

I'm guessing you ran the wiring harness to the battery to get full time power? Instead of tying into the electrical outlets in the bed wall? Every thought about mounting one and an air tank in the "Frunk" to keep them safe from prying eyes? Thanks...

Yes it's powered from the battery as this is as 12V compressor, not an AC compressor.

I have a RetraxPRO tonneau cover, so im not worried about prying eyes. I don't have a use for an air tank, so didn't install one.
