I don't know how it's way better. You have a lower resolution screen with only 12" of usable display, if you don't count the space dedicated to the HVAC controls that the majority or people don't like, the tabs and volume knob.

And just like cell phone videos, landscape is better than portrait.

But, I digress.

Has any years besides 2023's got the update yet?
I agree that landscape is better. But since I’ve had my truck I’ve really gotten used to it and I like the setup of it better. What makes you think it’s lower resolution? That’s something I have not heard. Sure seems sharp to me. 🤷‍♂️

I think most people that like the 12 but have the 15 actually enjoy the HVAC buttons and not anything else. If I could have the 15 + HVAC buttons that would be great.
Agreed. That’s really my only gripe. But overall I like the way it looks better than the standard 12.

I don't have any stats, but I had the 12" screen in my 2021 ICE truck. The picture was clearer on it. With the 360 cameras, I use an expansion joint on my driveway to guide me into my garage. You could see it better on the 12" screen.

Isn’t that funny. I kind have the opposite experience. This 15” screen seems more vibrant and clear to me. Maybe I’m just getting old and my eyes are changing. lol.

I had a 2021 truck with the smaller screen for years. I always talked a bunch of crap about the bigger screen not being usable or useful.

Once I got my lightning with the larger screen, I was surprised how quickly I changed my mind. Yeah the controls on the screen suck… But the CarPlay is much larger and sharper. And maps are much bigger.

My FIL has a truck with the smaller screen, and I drive his sometimes. I instantly miss my larger screen whenever I am driving his truck.

The bigger screen really is legitimately a better view

There's nothing you can do to get it to try again. It's a waiting game now.
I wish I could manually download it. I have fast internet and a laptop. :(. They need to offer that for those who want to go looking for updates. A proactive method

You can look into FDRS if you're feeling adventurous. Requires a $600 cable and a few hundred dollar power supply but you're not handcuffed to Ford's OTA process

I got 10.1.1 on 10/17/24 and I still have BC 1.0. I've tried calling Ford OTA to see when I can get BC 1.2 or 1.3 and they're no help saying they have no insight into when trucks will get OTA rollouts, but they also can't provide a department that knows. They just tell me "it's in the cloud and will come to your truck when it's your time". Dealership doesn't know anything outside of when the OTA releases start. I've had my truck for two years, bought new, and no BC updates.

Any tips/advice from anyone here or @Ford Motor Company

“But sir, which trucks will get them first then?”
“…Nobody knows.”
"And we will have a screen so big that it will have a soft button for defrost 2 in. away from the physical button for defrost, but to turn off the heat will require three clicks."

None of the 2022 Trucks have gotten the update as far as we know.

In other news, I just got a survey about the update, but my truck doesn't have it. My wife's Mach-e may have gotten it (she is at work), but Fordpass isn't showing it if she did.
