Carry-over bed liner ?

I have read that the cab and bed dimensions are carried over to the new gen trucks. I haven't seen any information regarding whether a drop in liner from previous gen would fit in the new trucks. Does anyone know? I imagine it would fit and a small access window would need to be added for the power panel. I would also need to confirm that the mounting holes on the tailgate are located in the same position.

Any extra insight would be appreciated.

Just picked my 21 up today, put the drop in liner from my 18 in. Mounting pins lined up no problem for me. Fits awesome in my opinion. Holes for bed lighting line up and I just cut a portion out to access the pro power. Might be able to grab some photos tomorrow.

This is great news. Thank you for confirming. The mounting pins you mentioned are in reference to the tailgate fasteners?

got a new drop in liner, I have the tailgate step and work surface so the tail gate piece was not required

No, talking about the 2 Bedliner fastener pushpins. They are a pain to remove but I was able to get them in the new one with a mallet. I didn’t take over the tailgate cover as the new tailgate has a massive plastic cutout for a worksurface and I didn’t think the old cover was necessary

Ok I understand, they weren't completely destroyed taking them out then. I'm still waiting in my truck to arrive and it doesn't have the work surface on the tailgate.

The DualLiner that I bought for my 2016 F-150 was transferred to my ‘18 and now sits in my ‘21. The only thing that I had to do was cut a window for the power panel.
