I was hoping someone else would post this… …but my truck is here and I’m out of time.
So on the Mach-E an annoying design flaw was that the charge port cover can over-flex when open and strike the side panels causing dimples/dings. To fix it many many Mach-E overs bought a 3D printed insert that stopped the cover from over-flexing when open. The insert attached to the cover arm and works wonderfully.
Question? Can the folks who got a truck see if the port cover can over flex if accidentally struck and cause panel damage. Have pictures below on both the Mach-E and the F-150.
Just to be clear there is not any evidence that the same issue is there on the truck. Just needs to be checked though.
BTW link to the Jawstec part. I do not work for them in any capacity. Also credit to the MachE poster who created the 3D file and set it up to be ordered.
