It's a very niche Hollywood future car look that many don't care for, and also some people don't care for the company and it's owner and would prefer to spend their $ elsewhere.
Same can be said for any other.

I think saying “many” people don’t care for is a stretch. I'd describe it as "some very vocal people" don’t like it. Then again that’s just semantics.

It’s a mass produced pickup that looks different from legacy. That about sums up the CT. People will get over it, and it’ll just be another truck in short time. Just like all of the other Tesla's including the Model X that no one looks twice at anymore.

Yep, he is the only one to ever embellish during a form of marketing. Also, WTF did consumers expect when in the elapsed time after announcement, we ended up going through the greatest inflationary period in 3 decades?

Farley and Ford did virtually the exact same. Yes they did launch the Pro at $39k, but it was essentially a unicorn that very very very few people ever got at that price. Their conversion rate has been abominable as well. Remember, Ford planned and was ramping up to 150k/year demand. YTD is 28,300.
Yes, I had to wait from May 2021 until 2024 to get my 2023 Pro with Max tow etc. for $47k after demand collapsed.

MSRP starting at $39,974 up to around $90,474.** As Shown, 2022 F-150 Lightning Platinum (Detailed pricing released Fall 2021).

I'm just sad I see at least 2 cybertrucks to every other lightning sighting in my area. I do live in the burbs tho
A lot more Lightnings than CTs here in northern VA from my anecdotal experience.
Plenty of other Tesla models though, mostly the model "Y" I think.

Same here in PNW. That said, I'd buy a Tesla just because of the head of the company 😉
However, I am already a happy owner of F150 Lightning and love it a lot.

Tesla Y was the best selling car in the world for 2023. I bought one in March 2024, excellent value for money and comes with Tesla’s Supercharger network. After owning a Lightning I knew that you are buying into the charging network as much as you are buying into the car.
