So I decided to get a rear view mirror dash cam which includes a 2K front camera and rear 1080p camera. It has voice controls, GPS with speed, night vision, and motion sensors to record if truck is off. + more.

Overall packaging was kind of a mess. But the display was very nice. I needed to purchase a hard wire kit from them $15 and a 128gb SD card for $20.

It allowed me to either see full screen front camera, full screen rear, or split screen fro/back. You could also turn it off and it was a regular mirror. It came with attachments to either mount the rear camera on your license plate or inside the cab of the truck facing out the rear window.

I really wanted to like it but a few things I didn’t like made me return it.
1- the larger 12” model didn’t fit over my mirror correctly due to the camera on the back. It also recorded the black right side of my mirror slightly due to being so close to the stock mirror.
2- the hard wire kit said it was for any fuse set up but failed to mention the accessory fuse tap was not micro and there was no way to change it. So it did not fit up to my passenger fuse box at all.
3- The wires.. so many wires.. there were 3 wires coming right out of the top. 1 for power, 1 for GPS, and 1 for rear cam. It just looked very clunky up there.

Between all of that I ended up just returning. It annoyed me there were so many wires sticking straight up and also the fitment wasn’t great over the existing mirror due to the camera. Nail in the coffin for me was their fuse tap box wasn’t compatible.

Here are some pictures below of the dashcam. Keep in mind I had the rear cam just sitting on my dash it was facing the passenger seat.

i'm waiting for my truck to arrive but i've had the same experience with dash cam mirrors with the front camera attached to the mirror. I'm going to try the following https://www.amazon.com/PORMIDO-Mirror-Detached-Parking-Monitoring/dp/B08CXGMDR4
it has a separate front camera. and a separate back camera.
Would you happen to know the distance between the sun visors? the space where the rear view mirror sits. With 12" rear view camera, i'm thinking the sun visor will hit the mirror. Visor will not open completely.

Nice that one looks good. Report back how you like it after you get it!

The 12” one I just had on was barely big enough to cover my existing mirror. So it will not impact the visors at all.

Would you please measure your mirror? is it 10-3/8" wide?

Where did you tap in the power? I'm trying to find the right fuses in the interior box (passenger footwell). I need a constant power fuse AND an accessory power fuse.

I looked at the manual but it doesn't really give me much of an indication of which ones will be constant on and just accessory.

Picked up my truck on Saturday. Installed the Pormido dash cam mirror on Sunday. Still need to figure where I want to place the front camera. That’s why you see a mess of wires. But happy with the fit and function. Simple to install, took me less than five minutes to run/hide the wires for the back camera.
Used this dongle to tap into the power of the oem mirror SimpleUSBPort Automotive Mirror to Dashcam Voltage Converter (16-pin, Select Ford F150) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B088P4VFQ...abc_7AD9BYNYJCSSVN4MTA6A?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
