Departure time issues

Anyone else having problems with departure times not updating or not working? I had turned off departure times a few weeks ago, maybe over a month, but it keeps resetting itself and i’ll find my truck preconditioning in the morning again, i turn it departure times, then it happens again. Now it won’t even allow me to turn them off through the app. I just get a fordpass error. I’m on vacation so it’s just going to be preconditioning in my driveway every morning until i get back, i guess.

Also, i have an afternoon departure time set that hasn’t ever worked. Even when it’s on in the app and the morning departure time works.

The entire implementation of departure times is really terrible IMO.

Mine seems to randomly skip Monday evening preconditioning... Don't know how many times I deleted and reprogrammed the schedules with no luck.

Funny you should mention that. Yes. I set mine for 0500 using the screen in the truck on day one last month. Last week I changed it to 0445 in the FordPass app menu. This morning, still doing 0500 and made me say wtf. I will check through the screen on the truck. I bet it still says 0500 and the app is not updating the truck properly.

I've had this happen before as well. I deleted my charging location (Home) using the screen in the truck. I added the location again, edited the preconditioning and charging times and it worked fine after that.

I'll assume everyone is at Fordpass app version 4.32.1 which is the most recent version that was to fix some glitches and issues with departure time. I haven't used it in a while, but just set up a scheme for this afternoon [Tuesday] I'll see how it goes, if it worked, then later try to delete it via the app and confirm in the truck / Sync screen that it was deleted.

BTW, try force stopping your app, then clearing only the cache, might help / might not
PS DO NOT clear data or your PAAK settings and pairing will be hosed.

The departure time event kicked off the remote start session at 12:55:30, it will run for my preferred 15 minute cycle and the truck will be 1/3 ready by my standards at 1300 hrs.

Update: the change I made in the app was indeed set for same in the truck. So it was not an app problem. IDK. I deleted it all in the truck and put it back. Hope it works tomorrow.

After we arrived at our destination, I used the app to delete the recently executed scheme, it cleared from the app just fine, I then force stopped and cleared the cache just to make sure that I didn't have a false message that it had cleared, after restarting the app, the scheduled event list was empty

After dinner, returned to the truck and confirmed the departure times were erased as requested via the app.

Only thing I can suggest to the OP is clear the cache, force-stop, restart the app and switch off the timer or delete all the schemes.

I checked, i do have 4.32.1. I forced closed my app and restarted. I don’t know if there’s a way to clear cache on iOS but it let me edit the departure times in any case. I delete the two times i had saved. We’ll see if it sticks.

After the most recent couple of OTA's I retested setting and executing departure times, this session is while plugged in, I set it for the truck be ready at 7:50 to maximize cabin warm up phase, I will let continue to run until 8 am, all appears to be working normally.

The system decided to begin the process at 7:20am, there was little need to pre-warm the battery since my charging schedule had run from 4am to 5:02am pulling in 17.9 KWH with related heating, early morning temperature was 33°, it's now 37°.

Total energy to prepare for drive is 3.51 KWH over 40 minutes
