Departure Times Behavior Winter 2024

This morning I used Departure Times for the first time this year. I have 8:15 set and cabin temperature warm. My steering wheel was warm and stayed warm. This is a new development for me. The last time I used Departure Times my steering wheel heat didn't work so I reverted to using the app to turn on the HVAC. I'm guessing the last time I used Departure Times was about a year ago.

I was slightly annoyed that the power on chimes and seat belt chimes returned after using Departure Times. I had previously disabled them using Forscan. Not a big deal.

My truck has received all available OTA updates and all recalls and CSPs except the battery stuck software update.

I haven't seen that the steering wheel heat issue had been solved but it's possible I missed it.

With your 8:15 DT, what time did you get into the truck? What is the duration of your remote start cycle time 5, 10 or 15 minutes?

Steering wheel heating is working pretty reliably for both departure time & remote start.

Oddball observation this morning, departure time 7:50 AM, activated as it always has five minutes prior at 7:45 am, I let it run for ~13 minutes so that the truck is still running, tap the start button, she is ready to drive, because I'm unplugged there was no early battery conditioning.

Cabin, seat & wheel are toasty warm, but the steering wheel lamp on the 15" screen is OFF, I tap it back on for the duration of the drive, I lower the seat to 1 from 3, I frequently need to manually turn on the front passenger seat, 1 out of 10 time will it automatically turn on when my wife gets in the seat. Her seat was warmed during remote start, but after placing the truck in RUN mode, it's shown as off, this bugs me to this day.
