The Fordpass app on my iphone will not update the mileage or tire pressures.

Mileage is 300 miles behind what is reported on the dash and the tire pressures are about 6lbs off from what they actually are.

It's like the software cannot update just those two stats. I uninstalled and reinstalled Fordpass but it still reports the same.

I do not have/use any scan software, etc.

Any ideas?

The FordPass app has a pull to refresh feature. I'm curious, when you pull down on the app, do you get the spinning wheel? Does the Updated time get updated? That would indicate if it's talking to the server. If that works then maybe the truck is not talking to Ford.

You can then check your online Ford account to see if it has outdated tire pressure and odometer. These two pieces will let you know if it is a phone app communication problem or a truck communication problem.

Both the app and truck communicate to Ford servers (not each other). So one or both of those lines of communication is not working. You can reinstall your app all day long but if the truck is not talking to Ford, it will be pointless. And vice-versa.

Thank you for the response and thoughts, suggestions.

I do not see the refreshing indicator when I pull down on the app.

The Ford site shows the same tire pressures and mileage as Fordpass does. Going by this I would assume it's a truck issue.

See this recently posted thread:

His truck was not getting the software update status. You can check if your truck is getting status updates by going to Settings .. Software Updates. The truck should attempt to communicate with Ford and see if updates are available.

If that also fails, then disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes may solve your issue (pull negative cable using 10mm wrench).

I have the software update status issue as well. Going to disconnect the negative and see if that clears things up.

I have had the same problem with Odometer. I can't tell if the tire pressure is keeping up or not since the info in the truck and the app agree right now. For a short time if I rebooted my iphone it would update, but even that does not work anymore. Plus who wants to continuously reboot their phone to get the app to resync. I noticed this issue happening right after the karaoke update. Whatever they changed has broken it. I recently updated the Ford Pass app, but that made no difference. I hope they fix it soon I use the Odometer to log my charges to see how much savings I get driving an EV vs ICE. So far it is amazing.

I'm a stat's nerd as well, but the mileage seems to be current as of the end of the last drive in Fordpass based prior weekly charging sessions, I'll pay closer attention this weekend.

BTW, sometimes you can trigger a comm's interaction by asking for the location of the truck.

Just to update, I did pull the negative cable off the 12v battery. The Fordpass app immediately updated. I had access to certain items that were greyed out before in vehicle settings. When I look at the update software it returns a result now as opposed to endless searching.

Only issue was the frunk would not close after I reconnected the battery. I ended up getting it to work by manually closing the hood. After that the frunk was working as it should.

Yeah, that's a known by-product of disconnecting the battery with the frunk open. Truck doesn't know frunk's position so you have to close manually first time.
