Anyone figure out how to use EA Pass+ separate from FordPass/Plug & Charge? I'm finally out of my complimentary kWh, and charging while away from home. I have the EA app and activated Pass+, but at the station it wants you to plug in first, don't see a way to choose which app/service to use. As soon as I plugged in Plug and Charge took over, so now I'm charging at $0.43 vs $0.31... After the fact I realized I could maybe just toggle Plug and Charge off before plugging in, and THEN maybe be able to use the EA app?

You have to use the EA+ app before you plug in.

If you want to get EA's Pass+ account, you must activate the charger with the EA app, then plug in

How do you "activate the charger"? I didn't see anyway to do that, it says "Plug in first" everywhere

If you click on the avaliable station, it will give you the option to start the charger. Ignore the plug in first statement.

You can also activate the charger through Android Auto or CarPlay which is marginally more convenient than the app.

Is it possible to disable the plug and charge feature?

I had a similar situation in that I had about 60 KW of the free 250 left. I plugged in at an EA and figured it would stop charging when it got to the 60. But it kept going and and charged another 15 KW before I reached my 85% charging limit.

Then I got a message through the FordPass app that $8.70 had been charged to my credit card on file with Ford. Doing the calculations, I paid 58 cents a KW. After doing some research, I found the Plug and Share toggle and turned it off! I had downloaded the EA app and had it all set up to go and I thought that I would be charged through that for the extra KWs.

Haven't needed to charge there again because my Charge Station Pro was delivered 2 days later.

We're taking the the Lightning on our first long trip next week. Hopefully I'll have this all figured out by then!

@jefro, yes! You'll find it in the FordPass app, under Vehicle, Charging, Blue Oval Charge Network.

I never activated mine, so yeah the truck at least charges without it. I always activate the charging via the app swiping on the charger.

I used a Chargepoint at a Hyundai dealer that confused me a bit. Seems they had it set to plug to charge and I kept trying to use app swipe.
