Just a couple hours later the rep at ford replied that my buy back was approved and I should receive a letter in 3 to 5 days. I am relieved and upset at all the same time :(

Do you know what will you be driving after the buyback yet?

ive been looking at Sierra Denali's. There is a dealer here with one on the lot- its not a ultimate but I am considering it. I miss my raptor - if I get a 2023 I get no heated steering wheel. I wonder do Raptors have blue cruise?

So been battling with Ford to get them the information and they said they called the dealer but the dealer never heard from them - sigh. I finally got them all together. The service manager is on vacation so the guy covering for him called me. I nearly lost my stuff. I asked him how is my truck? He said "good good we are taking the battery pack down to look at the torque specs". I said what about the 3 or 4 modules you were supposed to be replacing? He said "Ford told us not to do that until we check the torque specs on the cables/terminals". Well I nearly lost it. I said so another week went by and you're just taking the battery down? Anyway I told him I would be there next week to get my stuff out of the car.

Going to be happy to put this behind me. I spoke to the GM of the dealership who said he would work with me on pricing a new truck. Just not sure what if anything I want really.

I spoke to my bank. I only financed about $32k on this truck. Rates when I bought it were 2.75 now its 5% so I was paying $2k over 60 months on that loan a new loan for that amount is going to be $4,000. So that really sucks. Thanks Ford.

Wouldn't you get a better settlement through a buyback or lemon law?

Its a buyback situation now. I have met the lemon law criteria. 20 business days in the shop. Last Friday was 4 weeks so 5x4 = 20.

I just read the headline to my wife and it said "Ford halts production of electric F-150 because of" and she jumped in "because of you?"

So the dealership in Va will sell me the platinum for sticker. The problem is it's a 2023 - and 5k more. So I have to transport the truck, pay 5k more, and finance that 5k more at a higher rate which is already 2,000 dollars more than what I was originally paying! Also the 2023 has less stuff in it right? I know the heated steering wheel is gone. Anything else missing from 2022 platinum to 2023 platinum?

Seems like a bad deal?

What is the availability of a Platinum in your area?

There is one in VA that will sell for sticker. The problem is its not super close - not super far - but the price increase and rates stink.

IMO, any 2023 Platinum is a bad deal. You're basically getting a Lariat with a little better leather, ugly wheels and a fake engine sound for $10k+.

I'd look for an ER Lariat If you're not going to give Ford a chance to fix your truck.

its not that i am not giving them a chance? They have had it 5 weeks now with really nothing changed. The service manager insists he can fix it and I believe they can - once they know whats wrong with it. The problem is that without a definitive way to replicate the problem its forever lurking and terribly enough its downright dangerous to drive that car.

they gave me an extended cab F150 XL with a bench seat and rubber mat. I could put "Code Enforcement" signs on it and fit right in......
