Heat always on "Driver Focused" at startup?

Before the update, when I turned "Driver focused" Heat off, it'd stay off all the time between driving cycles. Now after the latest update in my Pro, I have to manually turn it off each time I drive. I don't have a passenger but three kids buckled in the back seat. I didn't notice until I was sweating in the front while the kids were complaining they were cold in the back.

Anyone else experience this post update or find a setting to toggle it off completely?
