Hey guys, new member here. I have a question about the camera quality on the 2021 Sync4 system ?

I don't have a 2021 F-150, just sold my 2018 F150 Lariat PowerStroke 3.0... beautiful truck. camera quality on the 2018 Sync3 was awful though. My question is... is the camera quality on the high trim level 2021's functionally better than the last gen's. by better i mean, richer color, not so washed out, higher resolution, more contrast in low sunlight.

reason i ask is because i have a 2022 F350 King Ranch Tremor 6.7L on order and it will have a Sync4.. my hope is that the camera quality will be more on par with GM and Ram when compared to the sync 3.

Mine is absolutely awful. I just scheduled a service apt to hopefully fix it. I have friends with civics and nissans and they are all way better quality.. I have the 8in screen.

Its a bit better than the 18s, since I really only use it to hook up a trailer and sometimes backing the quality doesnt really matter, its a fisheye lens so the quality will never be great but it does the job.

My active 360 on the new 150 isn't nearly as good as the AT4 I had. Really one of the only things I liked better about the GM. The multipro tailgate and the camera quality. At least ford let's you use the front camera for longer than 8 seconds on slow speed tight trails though. And you can use the mirror lights without being in park.

i have a 2021 lariat, camera is very good quality never had any problems, and i test drived a lariat with the 360 camera and it was incredible. i don't know if it makes any difference but from what i am reading, depending where you're truck was made makes a difference. all the ones i saw in Ontario,Canada were very good quality nothing compared to the competition.

I have a Platinum (received about 5 weeks ago; built in Dearborn) and find it far superior to the Explorer I'd been driving. Larger screen, higher resolution, clearer and more life-like. I use the cameras daily in order to shoe-horn the truck into my garage and am very pleased with them!

Of course, this is a subjective opinion. Your standards and expectations may be higher. If this is a priority for you, I would suggest that you test-drive a KR Tremor (beautiful truck, btw!) and see the camera in action for yourself.

The view my cameras give me is amazing, the picture quality not so much. Nothing is crisp in detail when I use any of my cameras. It does not stop me from seeing everything I need to see but it does make me wish for a higher rez, more crisp picture. The way I can describe it is that the camera is 720p stretched to fit on a 4K screen.

It could be better for sure. This is just one of the few half a dozen nit picks I have about the sync 4 system.

Just following, has anyone else's picture quality improve? Maybe there was an update, but mine is crystal clear now. In fact I actually noticed how nice it was today and was like WOAH!! when did they fix that.

Very odd.. Mine looks so much better I am not longer complaining about it.

Now I wish I had some older screenshots of it to remember how bad it was.
