Yeah for sure. The trucks been great. Thing is, if I take it to the dealer they will most likely not find anything, even with video proof.

If it’s going to Fail, I hope it Fails soon so Ford can at least look at what caused the failure since it seems I am not the only one going through this.
Hopefully your truck is sending performance reports about these anomalies to the mothership, you may get a call / email from FoMoCo out of the blue shortly.

I think it's another intermittent contactor in the battery pack controller.

Mine does this from time to time. No codes, no errors, no messages in the app, no calls from Ford. Dealer "couldn't find anything". My power reduces at start up to 56% and the front motor doesn't receive any power or regain in the dash display. Truck feels fine driving although I don't push it. It resets in a couple start cycles, usually the same day. Happened to me maybe 4-5 times over the last 6 months.

This is about the third time this has happened to me. The first time it reset back to normal after shutting it off and then back on. This second and third time shutting it off and starting back up immediately did not work.

A couple of hours later though it went back to normal.

I don’t want to but will be taking it to the dealer, I figure this is something Ford needs to investigate, not only on my Truck but others that have had the same issue.

My experience has been the same, it does take a little while to reset. I'll be following for updates - keep us posted, thank you!

Update: Dropped off this morning at the dealer. Was warned it would probably be a while. Apparently they have a retail Lightning in the shop that’s been there since Jan. They can’t get to mine until after that one is fixed…. Good times.

KISS. My uneducated guess would be a ground fault somewhere.

That's not reasonable.

No updates as of today. I did see they charged it and then parked it again. Probably one of the service guys grabbing lunch :ROFLMAO:

When my repair started the first thing they did was charge. Hopefully it is repaired soon.

Wow, I’ll have to look at the air dam tsb. Tried the wd40, but still getting that error. Still shocked with the similarities of the battery issues there’s not a way to test the modules and make sure one isn’t throwing the error.

And errors should be well caught and retained and should include self diagnostics (like cell voltages of each cell) during the event.

Smh…. I’ve never had this message before. But the electrical drain has always occurred when the % was below 40 and plugged in waiting to charge. Let’s see what I find in the AM.
