I assume this should fall under exterior modifications.. but I will be picking up my Mudbath TRD Pro hopefully between 3/30-4/14. I tried getting with my dealer about taking off the rear “TRD PRO” black badge inserts that come on the allocation. He said unfortunately they couldn’t. Some may disagree but I think the vehicle will end up looking pretty prominent on the road and I think a more subtle TRD PRO on the back would be nice.

My question would be how hard you think this will be to get removed? The accessory says that it is just strong adhesive backing. Not sure how strong it will be also with being so fresh. Just don’t want to hurt the paint. Anyone had to remove this sort of thing this early or ever, if so did you DIY or take to a shop?

My guess is that it will be like removing any other badge / emblems in terms of how sticky it is and how to deal with cleaning up the residual adhesive.

The tricky part may be how to get an edge started. With regular badges that sit on top of the body, you just use fishing line or strong floss and cut your way through the adhesive backing. But since these badge insert letters are inset, you may have to use a tool with a sharp point or edge to get under the letters to start removing.
