How to stop EA Charging at 30 free min cap?

should it not be far above 80% after 30 min.?

depending on the weather it may not. i had about two sessions over the winter where I didn't reach 80%... even when I started well above 10% ...like 20%

In cool weather and battery not preconditions I don't see more than 75 kW from EA 350 KW chargers. Very easy to run out of free time. On better 175kW days I usually don't run out of free time.

You could adjust the final charge % until you hit what the car estimates is 30 minutes from when you start

That's a de-rated charger, not weather or conditioning. Preconditioning can't make a 100-200kW difference.

With zero preconditioning in freezing temperatures, I still get ~200kW within a minute of plugging into a 350kW station, peaking around 230.

Thanks. I was mislead by all the EA chargers limited to 75kW in my nearby station, even when not busy. When I'm out on the road with warm batteries charge rates are much higher. I didn't give it a thought that it may be the station.

How do you get the app to recognize the car? The Plug&Charge feature works for me but when I open the EA app it does not know I'm charging.

that i don't know about..haven't heard of that issue before. I get notification when charging starts and ends, or any errors....

You are using the Porsche app I take it though while I have the impression @jsaccio is trying to use the EA app.

Need to do it all in the Porsche app.

Can you stop the charging process using the Porsche App? I did not see a way.

I understand the goal of this request - but unfortunately do not personally know of any way to achieve it…

however one should consider the following:

EA charges by the "kwh" - not time - so after the 1/2 mark the charge rate is quite a bit slower than it would've been at the beginning of the process - so while you may not be able to stop at the exact 30 minute mark - you can take solace in the fact that the rate of accumulation for costs will be quite a bit slower given both the slow charge rate and therefore the relatively small amount of kWh's provided past the 30 minute point in most EA sessions…
