There is also a recent modem (gateway) update being distributed. In certain circumstances, the modem can get hung on an update killing FordPass connectivity. If your connectivity switch is on and cycled as per @Maquis 's post but you don't see the icon showing cellular or wifi connectivity, you may need to restart your modem by pulling fuse 32, wait for a few minutes and reinstall.

I’m watching this waiting for someone to give the cheat code to Contra. lol. But in all seriousness, the app/software is way behind in a general usage and functionality way. Do I expect it to be on the level of Tesla or Lucid, no, but I do expect there to me some consumer autonomy in maintaining it/ personalizing to what you’d like. I’m sure there’s something in the forscan thread, but it’s just more food for thought.

I have tried pretty much everything and the truck continues to not charge reliably at either of my homes. The same thing happens on all 4 chargers that I own (two at each home). The charging is inconsistent. Sometimes it will charge for a couple of hours and I think it is finally working and then the charger will stop. The only way that I can get it to charge is to watch each time the charger stops and then unplug it and plug it back in. It may charge for another hour or another 5 minutes and shut down.

My FordPass app is also wonky. Sometimes it seems to be reporting accurately and other times it is completely messed up. I was able to monitor the charging and it would charge at 7 kW and then would drop to less than 1 kW and then slowly ramp up to 7 kW again. This would happen repeatedly. I never did see what occurred when the charger shuts down, but my guess is that it believes that the truck is charged to its desired charge and shuts down. What was disappointing is that my Ford dealer said that they charged there no problem and assume it is my charger. It is back at the dealership now and I asked that they closely monitor the charge rate to see if it varies.

I am confident that all of my chargers at two locations are not all bad. I cannot believe that the BEV group has not seen this before. I am not sure if the EV tech at my Ford dealership did anything but plug it in to their charger and then assumed that the problem was at my end. If I get it back with the same result, I am not sure where to turn. Very, very frustrating and time consuming.

All of this started after a software update at the dealership although I can't be certain that the two are connected.

My Ford Home Integration System which took me about 18 months to finally get working OK now doesn't work. I assume that this is all related.

Have you checked to see if the truck is throwing any trouble codes?

If you've cleaned the pins and did a 12v reset and it is still wonky, you likely need to head back to the dealer. For me, unfortunately after a number of rounds or resets the L2 gave up for good and the dealer ended up replacing the primary onboard charger. No problems since, but I had to L3 charge for a couple of weeks waiting for the part, then it was down for a week while they replaced it. No problems since.

When I took it to the dealer the first time, the dealer reported that no codes had been thrown. I was hoping for a smoking gun but no such luck.

It is back at the dealership now for the second time and they will be taking another look. I am hopeful that they will find the cause.

Make sure you tell the dealer to keep the truck functional in the event they need to order parts. My dealer was really good about that. They took a couple of days to diagnose, then gave the truck back to me for a couple of weeks while they waited for parts. DCFC is way better than no truck ;-)

Good idea. I really don't like being with the Lightning. I hope that they contact the Ford BEV Group and explain what I am telling them. I think that the service techs will require some help in figuring this out.
