I'm really interested to know how much weight that is adding to it, and what that does to the effective range.

ah, that's not bad based on that little weight, it's small arms protection, not sniper rifles, correct? And in certain parts of the world I could definitely see a use for it.

I left my turbo 3 months ago to go through the process of making it bulletproof. It’s finally almost ready. I’m sharing a video for those who are interested. :D

So if bullets are a concern why didn't you go for the cybertruck? :lipssealed:. Just remember to duck because I hear the windows are a weak spot. :fingerscrossed:. Interesting.

This level of protection is the highest allowed for civilians in my country and it’s rated for .357 magnum rounds, .44 magnum rounds and lesser handgun calibers. It's more to protect from armed robberies in traffic, which are relatively common in my city, unfortunately.

Phew, that's a relief to know, as for a minute I thought you were a Gangsta 😆
Stay safe dear, and enjoy your Turbo.

I have been wondering with all these systems that are able to interfere with you as the driver being in control. Would it still be possible to on purpose hit a car or a pedestrian when you're in a life or death situation?
I remember a hostage situation in Amsterdam a year or two ago where a dutch member of the police hit a hostage taker with his car on purpose which saved the life of the hostage.

I think with most current cars you could, but pedestrian collision systems are now being looked at as mandatory safety equipment.

There are cars that have such systems already, but they are far from infallible and have failed to bring the vehicle to a stop during many tests. And given the repeated vehicle attacks by extremists, you can bet that in the next five to ten years there will be safeguards baked into new cars and trucks.

Yes, just asking because I've had several occasions where my Macan slammed on the brakes in parking lots because people were walking behind my car, nowhere within hitting distance by the way.
