Guess who pulled into the EA station in Lumberton, NC while charging my Polestar?
Ice Blue Lariat! My first real world sighting! My first impressions: it’s big, like it looks bigger than my Ram 1500. The Ice Blue is pretty but still a silver for which I’ve sworn off any silver for at least few more vehicles (owned way too many silver vehicles in succession). It looks like any regular pickup for better or for worse.
It turns out the guy just got it the day before from a Raleigh area dealership where his friend is a high level employee. He was driving it down to the Florida Keys and this was his first ever charge!
He had zero experience and was going to swipe a credit card but good thing for him, plug and charge worked just fine. I gave him a quick tutorial on charging and that he should EA charger hop to Florida and to not waste his time charging past 80%, really only charge enough to get to the next station.
He went to walk his dog so didn’t get to ask anymore or study the truck in detail because I had to get back on the road.
