Anyone see anything on these screens I should be worried about? I’m still learning what all these metrics are. It seems ok to me but thought I’d consult some experts on here.

How do you get to those screens? Is it a special APP? Do you need any extra hardware?
Sorry for asking. I Just don't know...

I see... Thanks for replying.
I think I have one called OBD Link, I'm going to try it with the APP.

Thanks

@MountainAlive

I‘m surprised your SOH is only at 97% after 14.29 months.
How many miles do you have on your 23 Lariat ER?

According to Car Scanner My 23 Lariat ER shows 99.5% after 20.5 months and 9,000 miles. Mine sat for 5 months on a hot dealership lot before I bought it.

Yeah I was a little disappointed it is already at 97% as well. My truck has about 12k miles on it. I live in a cold environment in MA so I don’t know if that has anything to do with it.

SOH fluctuates down and back up, I don't read too much into it myself. It's a ball park guess into the health of the battery, not a measurement of battery degradation. We don't know what measurements go into computed the SOH, but it likely considers many different battery metrics and may also take into account driving characteristics.

I don't see anything to be worried about.

Yea, this has been a huge gripe of mine that Ford doesn't disclose any of these algorithms. Battery health is such a fundamental trait of an EV and subject to the federal mandated warranty that I feel any related metrics should follow some IEEE or SAE standard and be well known.

One of many related problems like what kind of battery modules they are putting in our trucks which is probably over 10 thousand modules to date. I suspect they are running a massive battery refurb program where they are pulling bad 3P cells from modules and rebuilding. They should be tightly tracking mileage of modules and cells and make all this traceability available to the owner. I guarantee there will be some class action lawsuit over the 1st gen Lightning batteries, but if they can hold off long enough there will only be a small % of people like me to benefit. I imaging well over 90% of owners will get rid of their trucks before the factory EV warranty expires.

I can't seem to find SOH should be under BECM ? an then look for SOH.

It's a parameter you can display in CarScanner. Parameters aren't under any category like BECM. Look/filter/search for the sensor data "HVB State of Health". Abbreviated as HvbSoh.

The big one for me is HVB SOC module variation (the percent one, not the voltage one). Yours is 0.43% which means your modules are well-balanced. When I had a battery module throw an error and need replacing, this value shot up to over 4.0% (see here). Before and after, mine stayed below 0.6%.

I routinely see 1.low# with no problems.

Back when my module failed another member had his go bad about a week before mine. While it threw the Powertrain error, the dealer said it wasn't bad enough to warrant replacement. They cleared the DTC and it didn't come back. But Ford intervened and had them replace a module. IIRC, his was above 2%.

There was also an OTA afterwards that said something about reducing the number of times the error is thrown, implying they raised the threshold for the error - at least that's what I took from it.

I hope I didn't imply on my post that you needed to be below 0.6%. That's just what I have observed. I do know 4.5% is not good!

I am using Tourque scanner. I searched for Hvbsoh under PID but nothing.
