...I've just got a phone call from my SA to be informed that my ever best choice of color Papaya metallic isn't available anymore...The option still appears available as an option in the configurator however when an order is placed the option is rejected. :crying:
I know it's a not so popular as a choice for most of the people interested in buying the car but is there a possibility anyone has any kind of information concerning the matter??
:(

Thanks for posting that. Tht would be sad but for the selectivity ratio and tha that Papaya has been out for years now, that is consistent with the process by which a color ends. And then someone next realizes the configurator needs to be changed. Though as you say, we yet need confirmation.

My order was for papaya, the allocation I was initially given kicked it out but another commission allowed it, so I'm still getting Papaya hopefully:) .. my SA had to try it on 3 or 4 in progress cars before one took it

While that would not effect me personally, would love to see a red return, e.g., IMO Macans looking so good in red.

At one point we thought about our Macan become Madeira Goldas a PTS, e.t.c the 2,000,000 Porsche in it.

Perhaps they'll be replacing it with another orange or red color for MY2026?
That's exactly what I'm hopping for...!I even tried the Paint to Sample "Gulforange" but it's not even close to the original Papaya, after all it isn't at least metallic! It looks to me as being mostly flat without any depth to it.
My order will remain open for changes until July as I opted for a MY2026 delivered around mid November so I'm hoping something will come up either as a new color or at least a new interior combination option to choose for my second best exterior Frozenblue metallic or Fountainbluemetallic in Paint to Sample options.

It looks great on the Panamera.

We did consider a couple of PTS options but opted against it as our favourites were too similar to free/less costly alternatives to justify the PTS cost (eg Dark Teal Metallic vs Oak Green and Arena Red vs Copper Ruby).

Unfortunately Madeira Gold wasn't available as a PTS option on the Macan. I think I would've preferred that over Papaya.

I haven't seen Madeira Gold in person except as a paint swatch in the showroom, in dim indoor lighting, but it looked nice even then (with cellphone flashlight) and looks great in photos. If that color were available, I certainly would have chosen it (and would never pay the PTS cost).

But I have no idea how many Panameras were that color. If not many, it seems unlikely they would offer it. They might just offer a boring ordinary metallic red.

I have been waiting to see how tariffs/cuts affect my business (medical research equipment) and savings (ouch today!) before I finally pull the trigger. I have been leaning towards Adventura green with truffle but was starting to re-consider Papaya. Oh well, decision seems to have been made for me I suppose.

...Being sad losing the opportunity to get my dream car at my favorite color plus my all favorite interior color combination is only the one part of the story. The other one is I must now spend countless hours, again,as if the ones I already spent weren't enough, trying to find another suitable colors combination for the exterior/interior and build a completely new looking car deserving the 140-150TEUR I'm gonna spend.Maybe I'm biased right now and see things in a negative way...I really don't know,I don't even have a clue and all of a sudden the coloring options Porsche giving us for this car seems to be so restrictive and limited compared to its other models...

...Well...back to the drawing board!
