Preparing cabin

The last two days now my app says preparing cabin it even alerts me when the cabin is ready, but first thing I noticed weird is usually when the heater is running the lights are on which it hasn’t been also I get out there and it’s cold and nothing‘s running. I’ve checked all of the settings for departure times in the app and if I manually start it within the app, it kicks right on. Weirdness

Might be a ghost message from the server from a prior scheduled event.

Do you have a departure event with a setting to OFF??

What is the departure time value and what was the time you observed the situation?

Eventually the truck will go back to sleep after about 10 or so minutes past the scheduled departure time.

I only have two departure events. Both of them are on, both of them with the temperature is 75° with seats and steering wheel heat, both to prepare cabin off plug although it was on 110. I do have warm selected in the settings as well like your picture.

The set time is for 7:50 in the morning when I leave to take the kids to school and we went out there at 7:51 and it was an ice cube

i’ve been using this feature for weeks now this is new

Odd, this morning my DT failed to commence as well.

I program a 7:50 DT, but my truck usually starts the warming process about 5 minutes prior, I looked to see what she was doing at 7:46 had not started yet, while yesterday it had.

I clicked the remote start button to coax her along.

Sometimes the DT fails, I haven't determined if it's a onboard controls issue or a cloud command and control issue.

Also one more thing to look at, in the truck on the SYNC screen, what is your REMOTE START duration, 5 / 10 or 15 minutes?

How soon after that notification are you going out? It does not stay running very long after the set departure time. I think may only stay on for the set 15min run time? It's not like Tesla that would stay running and toasty warm for an hour.

My actual walk out the door time is 0800 hrs, I've figured out the duration & timing to a tee.

My 15 minute window runs from 0745 to 0800 with the settings I use.

Also in my experience, when departure times are acting stupid, the solution to go into the departure menu on the sync screen (not the app), delete everything, and set it up again. I've had the departure time get borked from software updates. Along with the clock and PAAK.
