I’m a tire man
I know there are several on here, including myself, who are wanting to put a gooseneck on their new short Bed trucks. Would we be better off with a weight distribution hitch and heavy duty bumper pull? B&W makes an extend a goose that would help. It seems like the conventional towing capacity is higher than the gooseneck. I’m assuming this is because of payload limitationsI was also noticing a while ago that if you were to put a full size tool box it would be very close to the hitch.

Your thoughts?

I'm also interested in a gooseneck, but am planning on the 6.5 bed to give me more clearance.

My regular trailer is a bumper pull, but in case of fire evacuation, I want to be set up to pull any trailer at our barn.
