I recently picked up an XLT ER and have put several hundred miles on it. Awesome vehicle, save a few items. One of the most annoying to me is there is what I can only describe as a metal-on-metal vibration I feel in the steering wheel when turning to the left above approximately 30 MPH. It does not happen if I turn the wheel to the right. However, if I make a right turn and then turn the wheel back left to straighten out, I will feel the vibration. This is not a tire balance issue. If I had to venture a guess, it feels like some part of the steering column is contacting a frame member or other metal piece along it's travel. I do plan to bring this up to the dealership, but with it being so hard to describe my hopes are little for a resolution.
Anyone else felt this issue or maybe there's a known TSB or something for this problem?
Thanks!
