Tail gate step protector.

I see some people are having trouble breaking the top of the bed step off. I came up with a couple versions for a protector. They are made out of 1/8" x 1 1/2" aluminum flat bar. Counter sunk the holes, and had line X coat it. The one on my truck fits flush. I had to remove the hand hold and modify the pivoting joint. A bit more work to remove 3/8" off the joint. but it does lock in place. I made another for my daughters truck where I just removed a 3/8" notch for the hand hold, much simpler. Ford must sell a lot of part for the tail gate step, there all over E Bay.
