Also, this Hold feature will hold the truck stationary until you press the accelerator after you come to a complete stop. So would this feature stop this from happening?

I always drive leftie for brake and rightie for accelerator-no mix ups at the peddles.

Additional, I only uses the push-pull style for steering. It's goofy in a parking lot, but it keeps my arms out of my chest cavity if the air bags go off, and my palms off of the face of the wheel and it's buttons and horn.

However, different drivers are just that-different than me. The truck clearly needs to be refined to work for all types of drivers. For example, my wife just crashed in stop and go because her high heels contributed to an accelerater misapplication. (I can hear real truck guys strenuously rolling eyes. Hey! She picked it out gentlemen, and she won't combine pretty shoes with that much torque ever again.)
