I know lots have been wondering about the Toyo tires, I decided to go with them and love them! Very little testing so far as I just got them this weekend so this post is more about the looks. However the drive home felt great, very strong on the road. Anxious for more around town runs, road trips and off course off road especially snow testing. There is a slight tire noise I can hear with the radio low enough.

I've had the Eibach shocks for about a year, and already a huge fan of the improved ride. I had them installed, and I had told the shop to set the front to 2.1"/0.7", but they must have read the directions upside down as they set them to 0.5"/0.3". So I thought with the RC level kit I was sitting about 3-4" up in the front. Both ways are 2 rings from the end, depending on which way you look at the shock.

I say that to say at first tried the 285/70/20 Tires, which is listed as a 35.7" Tire, but really is a full 36" tire. @Discount Tire (America Tire in SoCal) did a test fit, and WOW that tire looked amazing. Some trimming of the air dam was going to be necessary, not a problem, however at full crank the tire was hitting hard on the front crash bar. Unfortunately, I only got a picture of it while on a jack, but this is the 36".

Not willing to modify the crash bar, I sized down to the 275/65/20 tire, a 34" tire. With the 2.5" lift it fits and clears everything no problem. Maybe next round I can test adjusting the shock up to 2.1"/0.7", or just up 0.5" in front to fully take out the rake and see if they'll clear. That's a lot of lift on stock arms and joints though and I'm sure even more hit to range.

Going to forscan the new tire size this morning to get the spedo, odo and mi/kwh to be true. Will be my first time playing with that system, so wish me luck.

Credit to "Mind of Matter" for a good video on installing the Level kit. I would add that it makes it a ton easier to access the top strut bolts by removing the frunk tray, or at a minimum the back to bolts that have the D-Rings as they are right in the way of the back strut bolt.

I had taken some pics of the straight on wheel and along the side to show the poke, but they won't upload correctly. :/ It breaks the pics up into different squares, not sure if anyone knows how to fix that? I will say with the 12mm offset, there is a slight poke but I think with the EV aspect of these tires it shouldn't hurt too much.

Hi, I set trip 2 since having these tires and I'm at 1.7. Trip 1 is since owning the truck new and it's at 2.0. I still need to forscan the new tire size, hopefully will get to that today. Running 45psi thinking of going up to 60. I've seen another post where someone is getting over 2.0 with these running higher psi.

I don’t think running the pressure up at 60 is a good idea. Even if the tires can take it and it reduces the rolling resistance, they would be ballooning out to the point where the centers would wear out and the handling would be compromised.

Assuming you purchased the 116H version of the 275/65R20 they are only rated for 51 psi. If you went with the LT rated version with the E rating I can’t imagine the tires would ride very well as they are made for a 3/4 or 1 ton truck, I also wouldn’t want the extra weight. Some people disagree and love the E rated tires on jeeps and Tacomas. I made the mistake of running a set of E rated tires on a Nissan Titan years ago, it rode like a lumber wagon.

i have the non EV version of the AT3 on my Bronco in a 285/75R17. They ride well and don’t make noticeable noise. They don’t grip as well in the wet as other tires I’ve used. It’s great to see a manufacturer focus on a good looking and offroad capable EV truck tire.

Thanks for the feedback especially having experience with the tire. These are the E rated, so max is 80. Yes I don't want them ballooning in the middle but also don't want premature wear on the sides. Stock pressure, what the tire shop inflated to was way too low. Very soft ride and tires looked under inflated. I downloaded Toyo's conversion chart from stock to new tire size, just need to read it to see what they recommend.
Maybe will go up in smaller increments. Also want to be able to quickly jump on and off road without having to de/reinflate too much.
Love the look and feel of the tires so far. Just updated tire size in forscan we'll see what affect that has.

Any thoughts on the E, SL, XL, LT versions of the Toyo Open Country AT3 EVs? LT is a stronger tire, but I won’t be rock crawling or towing much. Just light off-roading on dirt trails. Camping with a bed tent, etc. Been getting real confused with all the versions of this tire. Is the XL 116T I’m seeing advertised now the same as the SL? And LT the same as E? Any and all advice/info is welcome. About to get some of these and trying to see if I would be good with the 275/60R-20 116 XL.

Hello. In my personal opinion I would go with the 116T, save the weight! The tire look should be pretty close to the same. Honestly I don't remember seeing those as an option when I got mine, did they JUST come out? I would have gone with those. Only light towing and similar to you off roading. XL and SL both refer to the LOAD capability, so it'd have to be one or the other. Per the website, the NON LT tire for 275/60/20 is SL, rated at 2756 lbs max. You'd be fine with this.
The tread depth is quite less so IDK how much affect that'll have on looks and functionality. Maybe work with your tire store to order both options with the understanding you'll be just going with one of them Or maybe they have the NON EV versions more readily available. It's a big sale, so I would think they'd do that to get the sale. I went with @Discount Tire and they were very helpful and worked with me and essentially did the same since I was debating between the two different sizes. Linking the website and tire size chart in case you hadn't come across it yet.
