Underbody Coating

Found a ton of rust on the bottom of my new truck that I didn't notice before. It was raining all day when I bought the truck and I wasn't aware of reported rust issues at the time. Anyway, let my dealer know that I wasn't happy and they had the whole underbody coated for me. VERY happy with the results. They even had the rear wheel wells painted...

Is this the Line X coating? Mine is going through the final pre-delivery and I had the line x bedliner and undercoating put on the list.

Not sure of the brand, but I don't think it was Line-X.

I hope they removed some of that ton of rust under there before they spray coated it sealing it in.

They did. My guy looked at it and said it was just surface rust nothing to really worry about, but they knocked most of the rust off and coated. Once coated, it will deprive any left over rust of oxygen and prevent more spread. We'll see.

I had my 2015 and 2018 undercoated (see photos) and my 2021 is going Monday for a few things at my Line-X dealer.

Both of my previous trucks had almost no rust, same with my 2021 and after 3 years when I trade it was just like in this picture.

just had my powerboost undercoated, looks like they sprayed over the orange high voltage cable. Did they spray over yours?

Corrosion Free. Tested as best spray-on by Canadian military, and used by them. Good enough for me, a veteran. $200.00CAD for 18 month, then re-spray every 18 months. The next application will be just the underbody to take care of where steel meets aluminum. That will be $100CAD.
I know a lot of buyers of 2021's had surface rust on diff, axle, etc. There was never any rust on my truck.
