Progress is progress my man, and it has a way of snowballing once they get better at it. I would love to unknowingly be able to stop at any walmart on a trip and expect to be able to fast charge for sure. And the Alpitronic and ABB units are absolute beasts in terms of reliability. If I install 10, then install 5 more, that’s a 50% increase but still only 15 chargers.
Edit: but a planned 300 locations is great to hear. The more charging will lead to some price competition until the market becomes saturated, then M&A will reduce total overall vendors which eventually leads to a disciplined market and market normalization. However the brilliant thing with EVs is that there will always be home charging to help keep price abnormalities in check and the barrier to entry for installing charger isn’t massive (like starting up a whole gas station).
