Yea that's when I just spend the little extra and get a Platinum Trim truck, least when I go to trade THAT in ill get more then trading in a Lariat that I loaded up with a ton of options. Here’s what I want to see: Fitting the factory-available power running boards to an XLT; and knowing how much the dealer charges to do that. It’s ridiculous that the cheapest way to get these from the factory is to get a Lariat with the optional $6,000+ High package; and only then do you get to spend the $1,200 for the power boards.
A “little” more? Than the Lariat I guess.Yea that's when I just spend the little extra and get a Platinum Trim truck, least when I go to trade THAT in ill get more then trading in a Lariat that I loaded up with a ton of options.

No Ford dealer will install the OEM Power Running Boards to a F150 that didn’t come with them from the factory. Here’s what I want to see: Fitting the factory-available power running boards to an XLT; and knowing how much the dealer charges to do that. I wonder why the dealer wouldn’t do that? If I had to go aftermarket, the AMPs sound like the best bet. Any ballpark idea of what installation would run?No Ford dealer will install the OEM Power Running Boards to a F150 that didn’t come with them from the factory.
However, some but not all Ford dealers who offers and sells aftermarket parts will install the AMP Power Running boards to a F150.
